Russian drone attack on Kherson bus kills four civilians

Four elderly civilians killed, five wounded in Russian drone strike on a bus in Kherson, Ukraine.

A Russian drone strike on a civilian bus in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson has killed four people and wounded five others, according to the Kherson regional military administration.

The victims were all elderly — a 69-year-old man and three women aged 63, 71, and 89. The injured include the bus driver and four female passengers, who sustained wounds of varying severity.

In a social media post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the attack reflects the daily dangers faced by residents of frontline regions. He noted that while Ukraine's partners hesitate over additional protective equipment deliveries, Russia has crossed every line of what is permissible.

Separately, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that a Russian drone also struck a civilian car in central Kherson on the same day, killing a woman.

In the Russia-occupied city of Donetsk, the Russian-installed mayor Alexei Kulemzin said a Ukrainian drone strike overnight killed one person and wounded four others.
