Vocalist Sargam Vaish Says 'Aigiri Nandini' Used in 'The Vvaan' Trailer Without Consent

Vocalist Sargam Vaish has alleged that his track 'Aigiri Nandini' was used in the official trailer of the upcoming film 'The Vvaan' without his permission. He raised the matter in a video posted on Instagram.

In the video, Vaish claimed that roughly 25 seconds of his track — the portion running from 1:08 to 1:30 — features in the trailer. He further alleged that his original master file, production and vocals were used without his consent.

Vaish said he had not granted permission for the song to be used in the trailer or in the film's promotion. He also stated that he has already signed the work with a major music label, and that the alleged unauthorised use could affect his existing contract.

In his post, he urged the team behind the film to remove the track and to contact him directly. He added that if any valid permission or licence exists for its use, he would appreciate being shown the details.

Vaish said his legal team would examine the matter if the song is not removed from the trailer. He also appealed to his followers to share the post so that it reaches the concerned people, framing the issue as one of respect for independent artists' work.

'The Vvaan', also titled 'Vvan: Force of the Forest', stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The film is set against the backdrop of a forest in Central India and draws on Indian folklore.

It is directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar. The film is a joint production of Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF), and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 25.
