Saudi Arabia has identified 110 million tonnes of raw materials containing uranium concentrations in Medina, the kingdom's energy minister announced at the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.

The disclosure was carried by Saudi state television, which reported the minister's remarks on Monday.

The announcement places the discovery within the framework of the IAEA's annual gathering, where member states typically outline developments in their nuclear and atomic energy programmes. The minister did not provide further details on the grade of the deposits, the timeline for extraction, or the intended use of the material, according to the state broadcaster's account.
