SBI Invites Applications for 207 Specialist Officer Posts, Pay Up to Rs 97 Lakh

The State Bank of India (SBI) has begun accepting online applications for 207 Specialist Cadre Officer positions on a contractual basis. The recruitment drive covers a range of roles, including Zonal Head (Retail), Regional Head, Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Manager-Team Lead, Investment Officer, Vice President-Wealth, and Assistant Vice President-Wealth. The application window will close on September 25, and interested candidates can apply through the official SBI website.

Vacancy and Eligibility

The openings include both regular and backlog vacancies. Eligibility criteria vary by post, with specific requirements for educational qualifications, professional experience, and age. For instance, the Zonal Head (Retail) position requires an MBA with at least 60% marks, relevant certifications, and 15 years of experience, with candidates aged between 35 and 50 years. Similarly, the Regional Head role demands an MBA in Banking, Finance, or Marketing, along with 12 years of relevant experience.

For mid-level roles, the Investment Officer (IS) position requires a master's degree or postgraduate diploma in a finance-related field, or qualifications like CFA or CA, along with six years of experience. The age limit for this post is 28 to 42 years. The Investment Officer (IO) role has similar educational requirements but asks for four years of experience, with an age limit of 28 to 40 years.

Contract and Compensation

Selected candidates will be appointed for an initial contract period of five years, which may be extended by up to four additional years based on the bank's terms. The annual cost-to-company (CTC) for these roles is not fixed and can be negotiated. The final compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate's experience, current salary, and the location of posting.

Selection and Application Fee

The selection process will involve shortlisting followed by one or two rounds of interviews, which may be conducted via telephone or video conferencing. The interview carries 100 marks, and the bank will decide the qualifying marks. Candidates from General, EWS, and OBC categories must pay an application fee of Rs 750, while those from SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities categories are exempt from the fee.
