School Education Department orders inquiry into alleged irregularities in a sports-quota SGT appointment in Kurnool district under Mega DSC-2025.
The Department of School Education has ordered an inquiry into the appointment of Ediga Prabhakar as a Secondary Grade Teacher (Telugu) under the Sports Quota in Mega DSC-2025 in Kurnool district.
Director of School Education Thameem Ansariya said the department took suo motu cognisance of media reports alleging irregularities in the selection and subsequent posting of Mr. Prabhakar at the MPPS (New), Vallur, in Kowthalam mandal.
Following the reports, the Kurnool District Educational Officer initiated an inquiry and sought all relevant records and verification documents related to the candidate's selection and appointment. These records are currently under detailed scrutiny, she said.
Further action will be taken by the competent authority after the inquiry report is received and examined. Any action, if warranted, will be strictly in accordance with applicable recruitment and service rules, Ms. Ansariya added.
She reiterated the department's commitment to transparency, merit-based selection, and integrity throughout the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process. "The inquiry is aimed at establishing the facts and ensuring that the recruitment norms were followed," she said.
