PM Modi to Open SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi on 17 September
SEMICON India 2026 runs 17-19 September at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, with over 600 companies, 52 countries and six Country Pavilions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 on 17 September at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, with the opening ceremony scheduled for around 10 AM. He is also set to address the gathering.
The three-day conference and exhibition will run from 17 to 19 September under the theme 'Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem'. It is designed to bring together global and Indian companies, policymakers, investors, researchers, start-ups, academic institutions and students drawn from across the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
Discussions will centre on deepening collaboration, investment, innovation and talent development in India. The programme includes parallel sessions on advances in the display industry, six Country Roundtables aimed at encouraging collaboration and joint ventures, and a forum on women's leadership, among other events.
A value-chain approach will run through the event, tracing the journey from semiconductor materials, equipment and chip design through fabrication, advanced packaging, electronics and systems. A new 'Sand to Silicon to Systems' Value Chain Experience will present that journey across the ecosystem.
Organisers expect more than 600 participating companies and around 50,000 visitors, along with representatives from 52 countries, over 400 executives and more than 150 speakers.
The exhibition floor will host six Country Pavilions for Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore and Sweden, alongside 12 State booths, a Startup Pavilion, an Innovation Showcase, a Student Hackathon and a Workforce Development Pavilion.
