Four wounded as Ukrainian drone hits residential block in Sevastopol

An overnight Ukrainian drone attack on the Crimean port city of Sevastopol wounded four people and caused significant damage to a five-storey residential building, according to the Moscow-installed governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev.

Razvozhayev, who posted footage of the charred structure with windows and balconies destroyed, said the building was hit by a heavy drone packed with shrapnel. He described the damage as extensive and noted that a fire had broken out, but said there were no fatalities.

"Unfortunately, the enemy continues attacking the city with heavy drones packed with shrapnel," Razvozhayev said in a video statement. He added that Russian air defences, including the Black Sea Fleet and mobile firing groups, were working to repel the attacks and shoot down drones over the sea, but acknowledged that some had struck civilian and social infrastructure.

The Russian Defence Ministry said its air defences had shot down 512 Ukrainian drones overnight across 18 Russian regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea.
