Shreyas Talpade Calls 'Hanuman Ansh' Success a Miracle, Backs Tax-Free Demand

Actor Shreyas Talpade has lauded the recent success of the devotional film 'Hanuman Ansh', calling its box-office performance a "miracle." Speaking to the media in Nagpur, Talpade said that films succeed only when they connect with audiences, and he believes this story has done exactly that.

"Stories should touch people's hearts and only then will they start doing business," he said, noting that the film began performing well only in its third or fourth week, which he described as remarkable.

Talpade also voiced support for demands to make 'Hanuman Ansh' tax-free in Maharashtra, arguing that such a move would help the film reach a wider audience. "If people like a movie and it is made tax-free, it will reach a wider audience. More people will watch it and appreciate it," he added.

During the interaction, the actor also addressed the controversy over the Vishva Hindu Parishad's call to exclude Muslims from Navratri events. He emphasised the tradition of celebrating festivals together, saying, "We have been enjoying all festivals together for so many years... I have always enjoyed every festival to the fullest, and I will continue to do so."

'Hanuman Ansh', written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, is based on the life and teachings of Neeb Karori Baba, also known as Maharaj ji, who is revered by devotees as an incarnation of Lord Hanuman. The film highlights his message of love, devotion, and service, and is rooted in India's spiritual tradition.

The film's synopsis describes Baba as a saint untouched by power, politics, or praise, with his simple message forming the spiritual core of the story. 'Hanuman Ansh' is scheduled for an international release on September 11, 2026.
