SNL Sets Season Premiere With Knicks Star Jalen Brunson as Host

The upcoming season of "Saturday Night Live" will kick off with a distinctly New York flavor. Jalen Brunson, the newly crowned NBA champion point guard for the New York Knicks, is set to make his hosting debut when the show returns on September 26. He will be joined by the pop girl group Katseye, who will serve as the evening's musical guest. Brunson's appearance marks a celebratory moment for the franchise, which secured its first championship in over five decades this summer.
The following week, on October 3, actress Dakota Johnson will take on hosting duties. She is currently promoting the film "Verity." The musical act for that episode will be the band Turnstile, who will be making their first appearance on the show.
Comedian Shane Gillis is scheduled to host for the third time on October 10. The Spanish singer Rosalía will be the musical guest for that evening, marking her second performance on the program.
After a two-week hiatus, "SNL" will return on Halloween night with a debut host. Inde Navarrette, recognized for her breakout role in the horror-thriller "Obsession," will lead the episode. She has upcoming projects including an "X-Men" film and "The Waffle House Index." Gracie Abrams will provide the music for that show, her second time doing so.
The long-running sketch comedy series airs at 11:30 p.m. Eastern and is available for live streaming on Peacock.
