Srikanth Wins National Film Award for Best Hindi Film at 72nd Ceremony

Rajkummar Rao-starrer Srikanth has been awarded the National Film Award for Best Hindi Film at the 72nd National Film Awards. The honour was presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat's Kevadia, the site of the Statue of Unity.

Producer Bhushan Kumar and director Tushar Hiranandani took the stage to receive the award on behalf of the film.

Reflecting on the recognition, Bhushan Kumar described it as an incredibly proud and humbling moment. He recalled that the team was deeply moved by Srikanth Bolla's determination, resilience and refusal to let circumstances define his dreams when they chose to tell his story. He credited Hiranandani for bringing sensitivity and conviction to the narrative, and praised Rajkummar Rao, Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar for their sincere performances. Kumar said the recognition belonged to the entire team that believed in the story and worked to bring Bolla's journey to audiences.

Hiranandani said Bolla's life represents not merely the overcoming of challenges but the courage to dream beyond what the world considers possible. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring the journey to the screen, calling the moment of receiving the award from the President one he would cherish for life. He dedicated the honour to Bolla and to the belief, perseverance and spirit his story embodies.

Producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani said the most rewarding aspect of making the film was witnessing how deeply audiences connected with it and with Bolla's journey. She noted that such stories demonstrate cinema's power to introduce viewers to extraordinary lives, and described the award as a beautiful recognition of that journey.

Inspired by the life and achievements of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, the film portrays how his vision and unwavering spirit helped him overcome obstacles and forge an extraordinary path.
