Srikanth wins Best Hindi Film at 72nd National Film Awards

The film Srikanth has been conferred the National Film Award for Best Hindi Film at the 72nd National Film Awards. President Droupadi Murmu presented the honour at the official ceremony held in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, Gujarat.

Producer Bhushan Kumar and director Tushar Hiranandani received the award on stage, a moment described as a significant milestone for the film and its team.

Speaking after the win, Bhushan Kumar said the recognition was both proud and humbling. He recalled that the decision to tell Srikanth Bolla's story was driven by the subject's determination and resilience, and credited Hiranandani for his sensitivity in directing it. He also acknowledged the performances of Rajkummar Rao, Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar, saying the honour belonged to the entire team that believed in the story.

Hiranandani said Srikanth Bolla's life reflected the courage to dream beyond perceived limits. He described receiving the award from the President as a moment he would cherish, calling it a tribute to Bolla and to the perseverance his journey represents.

Producer Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani said the most rewarding aspect of the film had been the depth of audience connection with Bolla's story. She described the National Award as a recognition of that journey and thanked everyone involved in making the film.

Inspired by the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, the film portrays his rise against adversity and the vision that helped him build an extraordinary path. The National Award adds to its run as a story that continues to reach and inspire audiences across the country.
