SSC to Hold JHT Re-Exam on September 13 in Noida After Technical Glitch
The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the Junior Hindi Translator re-exam on September 13 in Noida after the September 8 test was cancelled due to technical issues.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that the Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Examination 2026 will be held again on September 13 at the Adarsh Pariksha Kendra in Noida's Sector 155. The decision follows the cancellation of the exam originally scheduled for September 8 at the same centre.
The September 8 paper was to be conducted from 12 noon to 2 pm, but technical problems forced the Commission to call it off. The sudden cancellation left many candidates upset, and several of them sought an explanation from the authorities.
To appear for the re-examination, affected candidates will need a fresh admit card. The SSC has said the new hall tickets will be available for download on its official website, ssc.gov.in. The admit card will carry the details of the revised examination centre and the timing for the re-test.
In a related development earlier this week, the Commission rescheduled the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination 2026 (Tier-I). The test was originally set for September 10 and 11 in Sikar, Rajasthan, but had to be moved because of municipal polls. It will now be held on September 15 for the candidates concerned.
Separately, the SSC issued a notice stating that candidates who appeared for Paper-II of the Combined Hindi Translators Examination (CHT) must submit their preferred posts and departments online through the candidate login portal by September 11. The Commission has cautioned that failure to submit preferences within the deadline could lead to exclusion from the final selection process.
