Springsteen, Minhaj, Stewart headline Stand Up for Heroes 20th anniversary

Stand Up for Heroes, the annual fundraiser supporting injured veterans and their families, will mark its 20th anniversary this fall with a headline performance by Bruce Springsteen and comedy sets from Hasan Minhaj and Jon Stewart.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 9 at David Geffen Hall, part of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The lineup also includes The Resilient, singer Alex Warren, and Josh Johnson of "The Daily Show."

Since its first edition in 2007, the fundraiser has raised $117 million for veterans and military families. The event is produced jointly by the New York Comedy Festival and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, named for the journalist who was severely injured in a 2006 attack in Iraq while covering U.S. troops for ABC News.

"When we started this way back in 2007 we thought it would just be a one-time concert. But it's become one of the most meaningful nights of the year," Woodruff said in a statement.

Tickets are now on sale. Past editions of the event have featured performers including Stephen Colbert, Jim Gaffigan, Ricky Gervais, John Mayer, Seth Meyers, John Mulaney, John Oliver, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jeff Ross, Ray Romano, and Jerry Seinfeld.
