Crypto advocacy group backs 32 House incumbents ahead of midterms
Stand With Crypto endorses 32 House incumbents for November, aiming to build on its 2024 voter mobilization success.
Stand With Crypto, the advocacy organization launched by Coinbase, has endorsed 32 incumbent House members running in the November midterm elections. The move signals the crypto industry's continued push to solidify its influence in Washington.
The endorsements come as the Clarity Act, a top legislative priority for the sector, remains stalled in the Senate. All 32 endorsed lawmakers voted last year to advance the bill through the House. The legislation would provide clearer regulatory rules for digital assets, something crypto companies have long sought.
Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, said the group's 2026 campaign builds on its first electoral effort in 2024. "In 2024 we were very much proving that the crypto voter is real," Lynaugh said. "In 2026 we're very much showing that we have the organizing capacity and that our advocates are a true voting bloc that can move the needle."
The group, which says it has over 3 million registered advocates, focuses on voter mobilization rather than large campaign spending. Its latest slate includes key industry allies such as Republicans Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, and Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. Several endorsees are in competitive races, including Arizona Republican Juan Ciscomani and Pennsylvania Republican Brian Fitzpatrick.
"I think we can be the difference maker in some of these," Lynaugh said. Senate endorsements are expected closer to Election Day.
The industry spent $170 million on congressional races in 2024, helping secure passage of the Genius Act, which set rules for stablecoins. So far this cycle, the sector has poured close to $200 million into midterm contests, much of it through the super PAC Fairshake.
