Sunny Deol dives back into action with cop thriller Antony

Sunny Deol resumes shooting for the cop thriller Antony, filming action sequences in Mumbai. He has four films lined up.

Sunny Deol has swiftly returned to the sets after the release of his recent Partition drama, Batwara 1947. While that film did not replicate the box-office success of Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, the actor is moving forward with a busy slate of projects.

Deol has resumed work on the upcoming cop thriller Antony, produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Balaji Ganesh. Shooting is currently underway at Film City in Mumbai, with the actor back on set since August 26. The current schedule focuses on elaborate action sequences, including car chases, as Deol's character takes on a crime syndicate. Action director Ravi Verma is overseeing these stunts.

His work on Antony is expected to wrap by October. Following that, Deol will join the cast of Ramayana: Part 2, the sequel to Nitesh Tiwari's mythological epic. While his role as Lord Hanuman was brief in the first part, sources indicate it will be significantly expanded in the sequel, featuring major action and dramatic scenes. Ranbir Kapoor has already begun filming his portions for the film.

Looking ahead, the makers of Jaat 2 are aiming for a December start, though director Gopichand Malineni's other commitments may cause delays. By early next year, Deol is slated to begin work on Rajkumar Santoshi's Ghatak Ghus Ke Maarega, ensuring a packed schedule across action, drama, and mythology.
