Taapsee Pannu asks media to stop reviving Kangana Ranaut feud

Taapsee Pannu, at a press meet for 'Gandhari', expressed frustration over persistent questions about her past feud with Kangana Ranaut.

Actor Taapsee Pannu on Tuesday appeared visibly annoyed at a press conference for her upcoming film 'Gandhari' when a reporter brought up her past public spat with actor-politician Kangana Ranaut.

Responding to the question, Pannu asked why such questions are directed at women and urged the media to let the matter rest. She said that if journalists stopped asking both of them about the issue, it would have ended long ago. She also suggested that the media seems to enjoy the controversy, which is why the same question keeps being repeated.

The query came a day after Kangana Ranaut, while speaking to the media, took fresh digs at several celebrities who had criticised her in the past, including Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood, Rakhi Sawant, Taapsee Pannu and Baba Ramdev. Ranaut's remarks referenced past comments made by these individuals about her.

The friction between Pannu and Ranaut dates back to 2019. It reportedly began when Pannu praised the trailer of Ranaut's film 'Judgementall Hai Kya' without tagging or naming her. Ranaut's sister, Rangoli Chandel, responded on social media, calling Pannu a 'sasti copy' of Ranaut. The exchange sparked wider discussion, with both actors commenting on each other in subsequent interviews.
