TCS Arm to Build 1GW AI Data Centre Campus in Hyderabad

Tata Consultancy Services' subsidiary, HyperVault AI Data Center Ltd, is set to develop a large-scale artificial intelligence data centre campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. The company has secured 264 acres of land for the project, which will be built in phases based on customer demand and technology needs.

The campus is designed to support a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt, with HyperVault and its partners expected to invest up to Rs 70,000 crore in construction and management. The facility will cater to frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, enabling high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference, and advanced computing workloads.

At full build-out, the campus is expected to be among the largest and most advanced AI infrastructure sites in India. The project will incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles, along with liquid cooling, direct-to-chip cooling, high rack density, and robust network connectivity.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy called the project "historic" for the state and the country, noting that access to AI models and computing capacity is becoming increasingly important public infrastructure. TCS CEO K Krithivasan said the initiative advances the company's Infrastructure-to-Intelligence strategy, combining AI-ready infrastructure with its cloud, engineering, and transformation capabilities.

HyperVault CEO Deepesh Kiran Nanda said the facility is being designed for future AI needs, including higher density, liquid cooling, larger power blocks, and faster deployment. The project is expected to generate several thousand direct and indirect jobs, supporting the broader AI ecosystem across power, cooling, networking, construction, and operations.
