Teachers' Day 2026: 82 Educators Felicitated With National Awards
On Teachers' Day, 82 teachers received National Awards from President Murmu. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi paid tribute to Dr Radhakrishnan and hosted a dinner for the honorees.
On the occasion of Teachers' Day, observed on Saturday, Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi paid homage to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President, philosopher, and distinguished teacher, on his birth anniversary.
In a ceremony held earlier, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Teachers' Awards 2026 upon 82 educators from across the country. The awards recognise their exceptional contribution to the field of education.
Minister Joshi interacted with the award recipients and extended his congratulations. In a social media post, he remarked that behind every great mind and inspiring leader stands a teacher who shapes character, nurtures dreams, and instils values of service to the nation.
He further noted the privilege of celebrating the National Teachers' Awardees and honouring their dedication, innovation, and commitment, which he said continue to inspire generations of students.
Congratulating the awardees, Joshi stated that through their outstanding contributions, they are motivating countless students across India to dream bigger and achieve greater heights.
Following the day's events, the Union Minister also hosted a dinner in honour of the recipients of the National Teachers' Awards 2026.
