
Telangana Assembly Monsoon Session to Run Until September 12
Telangana Assembly's Monsoon session will continue till September 12, with a possible extension to be decided later.
The Telangana Legislative Assembly's Monsoon session is scheduled to conclude on September 12, with the possibility of an extension to be evaluated at a later stage. The decision was finalised during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) held on Monday.
The BAC meeting was chaired by Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Government whips Adi Srinivas and Beerla Ilaiah, BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, and AIMIM MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) did not attend the meeting.
Several significant issues are expected to be taken up during the session, including discussions on Section 22A prohibited lands, fee reimbursement, and irrigation. Both the BJP and BRS have pressed for extensive debate on these matters. AIMIM MLA Balala has also called for discussions on fee reimbursement and issues affecting minority communities.
