Businesswoman Alleges Aide of Telangana CM Asked Her to Meet at Guest House

A Hyderabad-based businesswoman has alleged that a person she understood to be closely associated with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked her to meet at a guest house to discuss her representation regarding the outdoor advertising business.

K Shobha Reddy, who runs Mithuna Ads, made the allegation in a post on X addressed to the Chief Minister. She said she had spent the past three years seeking a lawful opportunity to operate in the outdoor advertising sector and had submitted revenue-sharing proposals for a temporary arrangement until regular tenders are held.

According to her post, while those proposals remained pending, certain advertising structures continued to operate despite notices and unresolved compliance issues. She also claimed that pilot projects and exemptions or relaxations under GOMs No. 68 had been granted in some cases.

"What disturbed me most was this: while trying to place my genuine issue before the Government, I approached a person whom I understood to be closely associated with you, CM Sir. I was directly asked to come to a guest house to discuss my matter," she alleged.

Reddy said she did not wish to name anyone or level personal allegations, but maintained that matters of this nature should be dealt with through proper, transparent and dignified channels. She clarified that her post was not aimed at seeking any special favour, but only a lawful opportunity, equal treatment and dignity.

The opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi has seized on the issue and demanded an explanation from the government. Party leader M Krishank questioned the Chief Minister over the alleged meeting, asking who the "close associate" was and why a woman entrepreneur seeking action over GOMs No. 68 had allegedly been asked to meet at a guest house.

There has been no public response so far from the Telangana government, the Chief Minister's Office, the Congress party or the police specifically addressing the allegations.
