TGSRTC bus driver dies after vehicle overturns in Kamareddy
A TGSRTC bus driver was killed and several passengers injured when his vehicle overturned near Jukkal in Kamareddy district on Thursday.
A driver of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) died on Thursday after the bus he was operating overturned near Jukkal crossroad in Kamareddy district. The accident occurred around noon when the vehicle, en route from Hyderabad to Bichkunda, struck a roadside divider and toppled.
The deceased, identified as Anjaneyulu, was assigned to the Hyderabad-1 depot. He was trapped beneath the bus following the crash and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
According to police, 13 passengers were aboard at the time of the incident. While all of them managed to escape, a few sustained minor injuries. Authorities who arrived at the location arranged for the injured to be taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed grief over the loss of life and contacted the RTC Managing Director, District Collector, and Superintendent of Police to gather details about the mishap. He instructed officials to ensure proper treatment for the injured and directed the Regional Manager and other staff to visit the site and oversee relief operations.
The Minister also conveyed his condolences to Anjaneyulu's family and asked authorities to investigate the circumstances leading to the accident while extending necessary support to those affected.
