Theo James has opened up about his experience playing Guy in the series 'The Gentlemen', describing the role as a balancing act between chaos and reality. In a recent interview in London, the actor discussed the fun of playing a character constantly on the phone, making deals, and driving vintage cars through the Italian Alps.

James acknowledged that while the role involves a lot of phone calls—which he joked must be "dope as f***"—the real challenge lies in keeping the character grounded. "It's a complex thing with Guy because you never know what you're going to get and you've got to adapt in the moment," he said.

The actor explained that his primary job is to maintain "some semblance of reality" within the show's larger-than-life world. He noted that while great comedy and over-the-top performances are part of the appeal, without a grounding presence, the stakes can feel lost.

James also reflected on the perspective the role brings, reminding himself that the job isn't solving world peace. "It's good to remind yourself of that and that you're lucky to be there," he added, highlighting moments like driving vintage cars in scenic locations as reminders of the role's perks.
