Thiruvonam bumper lottery sells out all 90 lakh tickets ahead of September 26 draw

All 90 lakh tickets printed for the 2026 Thiruvonam bumper lottery have been sold, the State Lotteries Directorate has said, ahead of the draw scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Each ticket is priced at ₹500, and the lottery carries a first prize of ₹30 crore — the highest ever offered by any lottery in Kerala. The total prize pool for this year's edition stands at ₹125.56 crore.

Palakkad recorded the highest sales with 20.95 lakh tickets, followed by Thrissur at 10.62 lakh and Thiruvananthapuram at 8.64 lakh, Lotteries Director Anju K.S. said on Friday.

Only tickets sold through district lottery offices and sub-offices via approved agencies and vendors will be eligible for the draw.

Health Minister K. Muraleedharan will inaugurate the draw at 1.30 p.m. at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, the customary venue for lottery draws. He will also launch the Pooja bumper lottery on the same occasion. The Director will preside over the event.

The tickets have been issued in the series TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan had launched this year's Thiruvonam bumper in July.
