TPCC leader asks KCR family to disclose landholdings voluntarily
TPCC general secretary Chanagani Dayakar demanded that BRS leaders, including KCR and his family, voluntarily disclose their landholdings to Revenue authorities.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) general secretary and spokesperson Chanagani Dayakar on Sunday demanded that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders, including former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members and relatives, voluntarily furnish full details of their landholdings to the Revenue authorities.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhawan, Mr. Dayakar alleged that the previous BRS regime had engaged in illegal acquisition and misuse of land. He claimed that the BRS president had violated land ceiling laws, and that party leaders K.T. Rama Rao, T. Harish Rao, J. Santosh Rao and K. Kavitha had vied with one another to acquire land unlawfully.
He called on the BRS leaders to cooperate with the government's inquiries into the landholdings of the former Chief Minister and his family, and to provide complete details of their properties to the Revenue authorities.
Mr. Dayakar further alleged that the BRS was attempting to undermine the government over the Section 22-A issue, and claimed that the prohibited list under the provision also included land allegedly held by BRS leaders.
