Trump approval stuck at record low as Iran war support slips
US public support for the Iran war has dropped to 31%, keeping President Trump's approval at a record-low 33%, per a new Ipsos poll.
American support for the military campaign against Iran has slipped to its lowest point since the conflict began, according to a fresh national survey. The poll, conducted over four days and closing on Monday, found that only 31% of US adults now back the military action — a decline from 37% in March and 34% earlier this month.
The drop is largely driven by a shift among Republican voters. While 69% of Republicans still support the war, that figure stood at 77% in March. The waning enthusiasm appears to be weighing on President Donald Trump's overall standing.
For the second consecutive survey, Trump's job approval remains at 33% — matching the lowest rating recorded during either of his terms in office. The prolonged conflict has become a persistent drag on his public image.
Looking ahead, pessimism is growing. The poll found that 83% of Americans expect the war to continue for an extended period, up from 80% earlier this month.
The survey included 1,215 US adults nationwide and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
