He noted an overwhelming number of applications for her position, calling it a "glamorous" job. When asked about potential replacements, he praised conservative commentator Scott Jennings, saying "Scott Jennings is good," but did not confirm any decision.

On trade, the President indicated progress on a deal with Canada, emphasizing the need to protect American farmers. He also mentioned that negotiations for a new agreement with Mexico are underway, which he claimed would be more favorable to the United States. These remarks come as a new tariff threat on Canada is scheduled to take effect shortly after midnight.
