Tucker Budzyn, Beloved Golden Retriever and Social Media Star, Dies at 8

Tucker Budzyn, the Golden Retriever with millions of online followers, has died at age 8 from cancer complications.

Tucker Budzyn, the Golden Retriever who charmed millions across social media platforms, has died at the age of eight. His owner, Courtney Budzyn, announced the news in an emotional video on September 5, revealing that he passed away unexpectedly three days earlier.

Tucker's death came less than a week after Courtney first shared his diagnosis of lymphoma with followers. In her video, she explained that while he appeared to be responding well to treatment, they were unaware that the cancer had also affected his intestines.

"Tucker's gone. I'm so sorry," she said, adding that he was "part of my soul." She described the final weeks of his life as joyful, filled with park visits and simple pleasures.

Courtney adopted Tucker in 2018 and soon began documenting his daily life online. His playful personality and relatable antics quickly earned him a massive international following across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, making him one of the most recognisable dogs on the internet.

Fans have flooded social media with tributes, expressing their grief and sharing how much Tucker meant to them. One follower wrote that Tucker's legacy would bring smiles "generation after generation."

Courtney also has another dog, Todd, who is Tucker's son. The family's story is set to be featured in an upcoming picture book, "Of All the Sniffs I Love the Most," scheduled for release in November.
