Ukrainian drone strikes hit Ozon warehouse in Russia's Samara region
Ukrainian drones struck an industrial facility and an Ozon warehouse in Russia's Samara region, wounding several and halting logistics work.
Overnight Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia's Samara region hit an industrial facility and a warehouse operated by Ozon, a major Russian online retailer, according to the regional governor.
Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on Telegram that several people were wounded in the attacks. He did not identify the industrial site, though the region is home to multiple oil refineries that have been frequent targets of Ukrainian strikes.
Ozon, Russia's second-largest online retailer, confirmed that operations at its logistics centre in the town of Chapayevsk had been suspended following the strike, which it said caused injuries.
This marks the first reported attack on Ozon's infrastructure. In recent weeks, Ukrainian forces have repeatedly targeted the warehouses of Wildberries, Ozon's larger rival, as part of a broader campaign aimed at disrupting economic assets that support Russia's military efforts.
Russia's Defence Ministry said it intercepted 457 Ukrainian drones overnight across the country.
