Ukrainian Drone Barrage Hits Ozon Warehouse, Kills Six in Russia

Ukrainian drones killed six civilians and struck an Ozon warehouse, a refinery, and other targets across Russia.

A wave of Ukrainian drone strikes overnight killed at least six civilians and disrupted logistics and industrial operations across several Russian regions, according to regional officials on Saturday.

In the Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported that several people were wounded in the attacks. Ukraine's military said it had struck the Novokuibyshevsk refinery in the area, causing a fire. The strike also forced Ozon, Russia's second-largest online retailer, to halt operations at its logistics centre in the town of Chapayevsk. The company confirmed the facility was hit and that injuries were reported.

The attack on Ozon marks the first time the retailer has been targeted, following weeks of drone strikes on its larger rival Wildberries. Ukraine has framed these attacks as part of a broader campaign against economic infrastructure that supports Russia's war effort.

In the southern Krasnodar region, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said two children were killed and two adults wounded in a strike on the port town of Yeysk, where a fire broke out at an unnamed facility.

Further strikes were reported in border regions. The governor of Belgorod said two people were killed and 13 wounded, while in Bryansk, four people were injured. In Russian-controlled parts of Ukraine's Luhansk province, Moscow-installed Governor Leonid Pasechnik reported two civilian deaths, including a 16-year-old boy, and nine wounded.

Russia's Defence Ministry said it intercepted a total of 457 Ukrainian drones overnight.
