UP Congress chief alleges BJP, RSS shielding Ram Temple donation looters

Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai accused the BJP and RSS of protecting those who looted Ram Temple donations, calling the new CEO appointment a diversion.

Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of shielding individuals responsible for the alleged misappropriation of donations and offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He asserted that this action amounts to a betrayal of the faith of millions of Sanatan Dharma devotees.

Speaking to The Hindu, Rai said the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ram Temple Trust does not address the core issue of the reported loot of offerings. He questioned the fate of these donations and claimed that the Modi government and the RSS have protected the culprits by giving them cover.

Rai further alleged that the new CEO appointment is a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the alleged financial irregularities. He pointed out that the trust includes figures like Champat Rai Bansal and Anil Mishra, who were inducted at the behest of the Prime Minister and the top leadership.

He stated that the BJP has been using the Ram Temple issue for political gains and intends to continue doing so. Rai, however, vowed that the Congress will not allow this and will fight for justice regarding the matter.
