UP Home Guard Physical Test Postponed Again as Rain Waterlogs Centres
UPPRPB has postponed the UP Home Guard Physical Efficiency Test scheduled from September 14, 2026, due to rain and waterlogging. A new schedule is awaited.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has postponed the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for UP Home Guard recruitment, which had been scheduled to begin on September 14, 2026. The board cited continuous rainfall and waterlogging at several examination centres across the state for the decision.
The test has been deferred until further orders, and a fresh schedule will be announced once conditions improve. The earlier September 14 date is therefore no longer valid, and candidates have been advised not to rely on it while making travel or other arrangements.
This is the second change to the PET timeline. The board had previously shifted the test from September 8 to September 14, 2026, before postponing it again amid persistent rain.
The board noted that the PET involves physical activities, and conducting it at waterlogged or unsafe venues could pose difficulties for candidates. The postponement is intended to ensure the test is held under safe and suitable conditions.
A revised admit card or updated examination instructions may be issued before the rescheduled test. Candidates should check the new PET date, reporting time, venue and other details once the board announces them, and are advised to follow the official UPPRPB website for the revised date and further instructions.
