UPSSSC Announces PET 2026 Exam Dates for October 23, 24 and 25
UPSSSC will conduct the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2026 on October 23, 24 and 25 in two shifts each day, as per a notice on upsssc.gov.in.
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the schedule for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. According to a notice published on the commission's official website, upsssc.gov.in, the written examination will be held on October 23, 24 and 25.
The test will be conducted in two shifts on each of the three days. The first shift is scheduled from 10 AM to 12 PM, while the second will run from 3 PM to 5 PM. Details such as the examination centre, reporting time and other instructions will be listed on the candidate's admit card.
The PET serves as a compulsory screening test for shortlisting candidates for Group-C posts in the state government. With the dates now confirmed, aspirants can plan their preparation around the October schedule.
Admit card awaited
The commission has not yet announced when the PET 2026 admit card will be released. The official notice states that information about the hall ticket will be communicated to candidates separately through the website.
Exam pattern
Candidates preparing for the test should note the scheme laid out by the commission. The paper will carry 100 questions, with one mark for each correct answer and a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response. The examination will be held in offline mode and will run for two hours. It will comprise fifteen different sections covering a wide range of subjects.
Registration for the PET 2026 was conducted from August 3 to September 7, 2026.
