The Venice Film Festival continues its packed schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a slate of high-profile premieres and press conferences set to draw attention on the Lido.
On Tuesday evening, actor-director Casey Affleck will present his third feature, 'Company,' which is screening in the festival's main competition. The film marks Affleck's latest directorial effort and is expected to be a major talking point.
Wednesday promises a full day of events. Russian filmmaker Ilya Khrzhanovsky will attend a press conference for his competition title 'Dau' before its premiere later in the day. The unconventional project has been a subject of curiosity in the film world.
The same day, Pamela Anderson, Ellen Burstyn and Taika Waititi are scheduled to appear at a press conference for the road trip drama 'Place to Be.'
French cinema also takes center stage with the premiere of 'A Good Little Soldier,' directed by Stephane Brize and starring Alba Rohrwacher and Vincent Lindon.
Meanwhile, the festival has already seen significant activity. Married actors Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz have been discussing their roles as a couple in Florian Zeller's 'Bunker,' revealing how much of their real-life relationship informed their performances. Casey Affleck has also joked about recruiting his sons for his gothic horror project, while director Alex Gibney has spoken about his documentary on Elon Musk, calling the story 'old wine in a new bottle.'
