Stars Turn Out in Los Angeles for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards
Pop's biggest names walked the aqua carpet at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles for the 2026 MTV VMAs, hosted by Snoop Dogg.
Pop music's biggest names gathered in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, walking an aqua-coloured carpet at the Peacock Theater.
Among the arrivals were LISA, Teyana Taylor and Charli XCX, who each brought a glamorous look to an event known for encouraging creative attire. The carpet also drew Sombr, Ella Bright, Troye Sivan, PinkPantheress, French Montana and Normani. Brandon Sklenar appeared with Hassie Harrison, later posing solo before the two were photographed together again.
Snoop Dogg hosted the ceremony, which featured performances from Madonna, Kacey Musgraves, LISA, RAYE, Sombr, Teddy Swims and others. Presenters included Chuck D, Paris Hilton and Tyla.
Organisers had signalled several marquee moments for the night, including Taylor Swift receiving the first VMA Artist Director honour, Nirvana taking the Vanguard Award, and tributes to Dolly Parton and George Michael.
On the awards front, Madonna entered the evening with 13 nominations, the most of any artist. Taylor Swift followed with 11, while Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars and Sabrina Carpenter were among the other leading nominees.
The show was broadcast live in the United States on CBS, MTV and Paramount+, with a global release on Paramount+ and MTV the following day.
