Yemen Armed Forces Release Footage of Strikes on Houthi Targets

Yemen's armed forces on Wednesday released video footage that they described as showing strikes on Houthi premises and equipment in several locations, among them the port city of Mokha.

The material, issued by the military's media office, shows a series of explosions and columns of smoke rising from the targeted sites. The footage also refers to operations on the northern fronts, without specifying exact locations.

The images could not be independently verified for their dates, locations, content or the conditions in which they were recorded.

The release comes amid sustained fighting between the Iran-backed Houthi rebels and government forces, a conflict that has killed hundreds of people and displaced tens of thousands in recent weeks.

Separately, the Houthis claimed on Wednesday that they had shot down an F-15 fighter jet belonging to the Saudi-backed coalition over Marib, a central province of Yemen. The group did not say when the aircraft was brought down.

Both developments underscore the continued intensity of the conflict, with military operations reported on multiple fronts and competing claims from the warring sides.
