Yogi Adityanath hails Swarna Bharat Trust as national model at Nellore silver jubilee

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday described the Swarna Bharat Trust, Nellore chapter, as a model for the entire country, appreciating its 25 years of work towards holistic rural development and selfless public service.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the Trust's Silver Jubilee celebrations held at its premises in Venkatachalam, Nellore. During his visit, Mr. Adityanath toured the Akshara Vidyalaya campus and the Soma Skill Development Centre, where he paid floral tributes to statues of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Swami Vivekananda. He also interacted with students and trainees at the facilities.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister praised former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu, who founded the Trust, as a multifaceted personality. He noted that Mr. Naidu earned nationwide recognition through his simplicity and unassuming nature, and said his personality transcended political ideologies, fostering inclusivity. Mr. Adityanath recalled that during his tenure as Rajya Sabha Chairman, Mr. Naidu maintained cordial relations with leaders across parties and discharged his duties with distinction.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said the Trust was established with the objective of achieving holistic national development through the progress of rural India. He said its primary aim was to bridge social disparities through education, healthcare, and skill development. True empowerment, he added, lay not merely in providing poverty-alleviation assistance but in enabling youth to become self-reliant.

The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Ministers Ponguru Narayana and Satya Kumar Yadav, MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, District Collector Himanshu Shukla, Swarna Bharat Trust Chairman Kamineni Srinivas, Managing Trustee Deepa Venkat, and Muppavarapu Foundation Managing Trustee Muppavarapu Harshavardhan, among others.
