YouTube Unveils AI Editing, Custom Feeds and Global Affiliate Push
YouTube announced new AI-powered editing tools, custom feeds and a wider affiliate programme spanning dozens of countries.
YouTube has announced a set of new capabilities spanning artificial intelligence, content discovery and creator monetisation, according to an update from its parent company Alphabet Inc.
The platform is introducing new capabilities to "Ask YouTube" alongside custom feeds, which will be made available to users in the United States across web, mobile and televisions soon.
For creators, YouTube Studio will now offer AI thumbnail generation and A/B video testing tools. A conversational AI editing tool is also being introduced for Shorts and the YouTube Create app, with Gemini being integrated into the new conversational editing assistant for both products.
On the monetisation side, the company is expanding its affiliate programme to 35 countries by the end of the year and bringing in more partners, including support for Amazon in international regions. Amazon product tagging is set to expand to India and Brazil in the coming weeks, followed by more countries before the end of 2026.
Separately, YouTube said it is piloting live auto-dubbing for real-time speech translation in early 2027.
