Zanai Bhosle's Heartfelt Note for Asha Bhosle on 93rd Birth Anniversary

Singer Zanai Bhosle has paid a deeply personal tribute to her late grandmother, the legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, on what would have been her 93rd birth anniversary. In a social media post, Zanai reflected on her grandmother's enduring presence, writing that while she lives on through her timeless voice, she personally carries her love and wisdom. She addressed her affectionately as 'Ashaai' and expressed her love, noting that she would continue to converse with her in her dreams.

The tribute coincides with the unveiling of a special song dedicated to the late singer. The track, titled 'Asha Forever', has been composed by music maestro AR Rahman. The song was launched at an event in Mumbai attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state Cabinet Minister Ashish Shelar, and Zanai Bhosle.

Sharing details on social media, CM Fadnavis described the tribute as a celebration of Asha Bhosle's divine voice, which he said will live forever. He noted that the song was created by Rahman to honour the Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan awardee.

Asha Bhosle, born on September 8, 1933, enjoyed a career spanning several decades and is remembered as one of the most versatile singers in Indian music history. Her ability to perform across a wide range of genres cemented her legacy as an icon. She passed away in December 2025.
